Robert Thomas is a noted Canadian songwriter, lyricist and composer. Over a career spanning 35 years (and counting), his work has been recognized by the Government of Canada, The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, The Canadian Television Network, NPR, The John Lennon Song Competition and the East Coast Music Association.

Thomas’s songs have been published by Capitol Records, Epic/CBS Music, Gas Records (USA), Atlantica Music and Coldwater Music. His instrumental scores have been used by CTV Sports, Skate Canada, The Nova Scotia Department of Tourism, Seven Eleven, The Ford Motor Company, and Air Canada.

As a performing songwriter, Thomas is a three time East Coast Music Awards nominee and has performed or recorded across many genres with a number of Canada’s most beloved A-list artists including, Barney Bentall, The Legendary Hearts, Spirit of the West, Garnet Rogers, Susan Aglukark, Roche Voisine, Ryan’s Fancy, Hagood Hardy, Ron Hynes and Lina Boudreau. In the U.S., Thomas’ highlights include recordings and performances with Grammy award winner Eric Marienthal and long time David Foster, Quincy Jones and Mutt Lang guitarist, Michael Thompson.

Thomas currently lives in Atlantic Canada with his two sons Selby and Noah and is recording a new collection of original songs for Publishing with award-winning multi-instrumentalist/Producer Ray Legere.
